Purple Moon

My translation rendition of the song inspired by Leonid Agutin's "Purple Moon" song

Without covering the light of your own moon that don’t exist
Umbrella opened up by night was slowly catching morning mist
You fell asleep on purple moon where you would wander off alone
Without forgetting about me you fell asleep until the dawn

When brand new day got tired of
Being just like a good old day
You flew…oh…so far away
And when you welcomed the dream
The dream that was not about me
That’s when your fears got cast away

You’ll forget about me
While away on purple moon, maybe only for a moment
Leaving here with me
Just a filament, a thread, just a drop of regret

The Sun shines brighter on your moon, there is nor snow or the rain
You will forget me there soon, your heart will beat without pain
For just a minute you’ll remain under the spell of purple sky
Where you can dance, and dream, and fly
Where you have all and also none

When brand new day got tired of
Being just like a good old day
You flew…oh…so far away
And when you welcomed the dream
The dream that was not about me
That’s when your fears got cast away

You’ll forget about me
While away on purple moon, maybe only for a moment
Leaving here with me
Just a filament, a thread, just a drop of regret.
