Remembering 9.11

Embracing ever so gently the curve of yellow playmate,
You’re breaking strings to shatters and pierce stiffened sky
Here moves the dome of heaven so vast and ever so endless
It’s wonderful that all of us have gathered here today.

Reflections of the sunset are gleaming through the branches
Don’t be so sad my playmate, look up and shed a smile
Someone will tap your shoulder and whisper ever so gently
How wonderful that all of us have gathered here today.

And yet, with pain and heartache we will recall the others,
Whose names engraved in ashes are burning until dawn
We’ll sing this song to heavens, we won’t forget you ever
How wonderful that all of us have gathered here today.
