Time Stopped at Sunset

Boats are sinking into sunset’s sweet red wine
We don’t have enough time but we’ll be fine
Stars are shining bright stroking waves with light
The warmth of the day is slowly turning to night

The heart is spreading wings and is about to fly
It travels like an arrow through the sky
Where the surf is moaning and drowning in love
Where two boats are drifting far enough.

Don’t fly away, don’t fly away
To far off sea with magic bay
Our day is gone, it is homebound
To God’s forgotten anchorage ground
Where wind will marry boats and the sea
Where a candle is burning for you and for me.

The whispers of the wind are all good-byes,
Sky’s bathing in the sunrise, time slowly dies
The night has swept off your sweet dreams
Hopeless is attempt to come back to life as it seems.

The heart is spreading wings and is about to fly
It travels like an arrow through the sky
Where the surf is moaning and drowning in love
Where two boats are sinking deep enough.

Don’t fly away, don’t fly away
To far off sea with magic bay
Our day is gone, it is homebound
To God’s forgotten anchorage ground
Where wind will marry boats and the sea
Where a candle is burning for you and for me.
